Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours?

Our hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. On Saturdays, we're open from 8:00 AM to noon, and we can schedule additional appointments later in the day if needed. Because we sometimes handle service calls, customers are advised to call ahead before visiting or use the client login to arrange a drop-off.

Where do I drop off my rugs?

Rugs can be delivered to our facility at 5241 Voges Rd, Madison, WI 53718. Due to occasional pickup or delivery absences, we recommend scheduling a drop-off appointment through the client login on our homepage or by calling or texting us at 608-669-2119 to coordinate a suitable time.

Do you offer pick-up and delivery?

Yes. We provide convenient pickup and delivery services at a per-mile rate. When requesting a quote, you may select pickup and delivery as an optional add-on, and we will provide the delivery fee.

How should I measure my area rug?

We ask customers to measure their rugs from end to end, including the fringe, since we measure and price based on the whole area being washed. For round or oval rugs, measure across the widest points to ensure accuracy. If you are unsure, we can assist with measurements at the time of drop-off.

What services do you provide?

We provide a comprehensive range of professional rug cleaning and maintenance services tailored to various needs. Our offerings include ultrasonic washing, fire and soot damage restoration, upholstery and leather cleaning, water damage treatment, mothproofing, mending and patching, full-immersion washing, air dusting, hand washing, gentle rinsing, detailed grooming, fiber-safe drying, final detailing, and thorough inspection. We also perform repairs and restorations, including refringing, rebinding, and surging. Additional services include decontamination, pet-odor removal with a 100% guarantee, environmentally friendly, baby-safe washing options, installation of new backing, premium rug padding, and boat-cover cleaning.

What types of rugs do you wash?

We wash rugs from around the world and across many weaving traditions. This includes Oriental, Persian, Tibetan, Indian, Navajo, Flokati, hand-knotted, braided, hand-hooked, tufted, needlepoint, and rag rugs, as well as animal skins, camel saddles, and wool or silk pillows. If you have a textile that is unusual or heirloom-quality, we can advise you on the safest washing method.

Do you handle delicate or heirloom rugs?

Yes. Heirloom, antique, and specialty rugs are handled with gentle care. Each piece is assessed individually to determine the safest washing method, suitable cleaning solutions, and any necessary pre-treatments. We aim to preserve the integrity, value, and craftsmanship of every rug we care for.

How long does the rug washing process take?

Most rugs typically take one to two weeks to complete. However, specific rugs—such as heavily soiled, urine-contaminated, or fragile antique pieces—may require additional soaking or longer drying times. We will always provide an honest estimate when you drop off your rug.

Do you offer a pet odor guarantee?

Yes. We offer a 100% guarantee on pet-odor removal for rugs that undergo our full decontamination and washing process. If the odor is not fully eliminated, we will re-wash the rug at no additional cost. We stand behind our work and want every customer to be completely satisfied.

How should I care for my rug after washing?

We recommend rotating your rug every few months to promote even wear, vacuuming gently regularly, and addressing spills promptly. Avoid harsh chemicals or home steam cleaners, as both can damage the fibers. If you have any concerns, you can call us for guidance at any time.

Can my rug be repaired if it’s damaged?

In most cases, yes. We offer a full range of repair and restoration options, including reweaving, rebinding, refringing, patching, and structural repairs. Our team examines each rug closely and recommends the safest, most appropriate repair based on its construction and fiber type.
