Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours?

We are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with later hours available by appointment. On Saturdays, we are open from 8:00 AM to Noon, and we can also schedule appointments later in the day if needed. Sundays are by appointment only and for emergencies. Because we are occasionally out on service calls, we always encourage customers to call ahead before stopping by or using the client log in to schedule a drop off. .

Where do I drop off my rugs?

Rugs may be dropped off at our facility located at 5241 Voges Rd, Madison, WI 53718. Since we are sometimes away on pick-ups or deliveries, it is best to schedule a drop-off time using our client log-in button on the home page, or call or text us at 608-669-2119 to set up a scheduled time.

Do you offer pick-up and delivery?

Yes. We offer convenient pickup and delivery at a per-mile rate.  When you request a quote, you can select pickup and delivery as an add-on, and we will get back to you about the delivery fee.

How should I measure my area rug?

We ask customers to measure their rugs from end to end, including the fringe, since we measure and price based on the whole area being washed. For round or oval rugs, measure across the widest points to ensure accuracy. If you are unsure, we can assist with measurements at the time of drop-off.

What services do you provide?

We offer a full range of professional rug washing and care services designed to meet nearly any need. Our work includes ultrasonic washing, fire and soot restoration, upholstery and leather cleaning, water damage treatment, moth proofing, mending and patching, full immersion washing, air dusting, hand washing, gentle rinsing, detailed grooming, drying with fiber-safe protection, final detailing, and a thorough inspection. We also handle repairs and restoration work such as refringing, rebinding, and surging. Additional services include decontamination, pet odor removal with a 100% guarantee, environmentally safe and baby-friendly washing options, installation of new backings, deluxe rug padding, and washing of boat covers.

What types of rugs do you wash?

We wash rugs from around the world and across many weaving traditions. This includes Oriental, Persian, Tibetan, Indian, Navajo, Flokati, hand-knotted, braided, hand-hooked, tufted, needlepoint, and rag rugs, as well as animal skins, camel saddles, and wool or silk pillows. If you have a textile that is unusual or heirloom-quality, we can advise you on the safest washing method.

Do you handle delicate or heirloom rugs?

Yes. Heirloom, antique, and specialty rugs receive a gentle level of care. These pieces are evaluated individually so we can select the safest wash method, appropriate cleaning solutions, and any needed pre-treatments. Our goal is always to protect the integrity, value, and craftsmanship of every rug entrusted to us.

How long does the rug washing process take?

Most rugs take about one to two weeks from start to finish. Certain rugs—such as heavily soiled, urine-contaminated, or fragile antique rugs—may require additional soaking or extended drying time. We will always give you an honest estimate when you drop off your rug.

Do you offer a pet odor guarantee?

Yes. We provide a 100% guarantee on pet odor removal for rugs that go through our full decontamination and wash process. If the odor is not fully eliminated, we will re-wash the rug at no additional cost. We stand behind our work and want every customer completely satisfied.

How should I care for my rug after washing?

We recommend rotating your rug every few months to promote even wear, vacuuming it gently on a regular basis, and addressing spills right away. Avoid harsh chemicals or home steam cleaners, as both can damage the fibers. If you ever have a concern, you can call us for guidance at any time.

Can my rug be repaired if it’s damaged?

In most cases, yes. We offer a full range of repair and restoration options, including reweaving, rebinding, refringing, patching, and structural repairs. Our team examines each rug closely and will recommend the safest and most appropriate repair based on its construction and fiber type.
